Descend the old road. Lay down the false crown. Return carrying the one that was always yours.
A 3-day, 2-night gathering of men to humble ourselves to an old idea: the guidance of a sacred story. To barter our way to the oak clad grove of our ancestral longing and explore the territory of manhood, loss, and finding a crown, again.
Through mythic storytelling, ritual and time spent in the wild land a-front the Western ocean, we will pull back the veneer of the trivial and open the deeper notes of our collective soul. To provoke the shadow lurking there and regain a sense of grounding and purpose.
Expect ancient myths told in a traditional roundhouse by the crackle of the fire, space & time to delve into ourselves & reflect in the elements, and warm, hearty meals to nourish us on our journey.
This is an opportunity to step away from the demands of the daily grind, touch in with that deeper place of our true power and desire, and to open up to the call of our hearts and of the present moment.
Trefacwn sits above the Pembrokeshire coast near St Davids — Britain's smallest city, and one of its oldest sites of pilgrimage. This is a coastline of cliff-top paths, hidden coves, and a sky that changes its mind hourly. It's a landscape that has always been mythic: a thin place, where the veil between the ordinary and the ancient wears thin.
We'll gather around the fire at night, walk the cliffs by day, and let the land itself do some of the work no room indoors ever could.
Three days, one arc — the same shape every true rite of passage has followed for as long as men have gathered.
Arrival, grounding, and the shedding of the mask we wear to get through an ordinary week.
The deep work — archetype, story, and the fire circle. Where the old king is examined, and the true one starts to surface.
Integration and blessing. Carrying what was found back into ordinary life, with brothers who will hold you to it.
